One Four Challenge 2016 Week 2

We’re in the second week of the One Four Challenge hosted by Robyn Gosby over at the Captivate Me blog.  She’s a great host and an excellent photographer.  Make sure you check her out and think about joining us if you’re so inclined.onefourchallenge-2016-badge

I couldn’t keep track of my edits this week.  I tried so many things. I tightened it up some more to begin with and, of course, I had to change the boat from blue to red because the scene was crying out for some color. In the end, I really like the Picmonkey Lomo effect. I think it almost looks vintage.

Thanks for looking and have a great week!

August One Four Challenge

August. Week 1

I recently became a member of the Boston MFA to encourage myself to visit it more often.  I finally got in to see some wonderful artwork and while having lunch there, I snapped this photo. Other than some initial adjustments in exposure and contrast, this first week is fairly straightforward – a picture of reflections upon reflections.

I have no idea what I’ll do with this in the coming weeks.I’m a little late this week.  I usually post this on Monday.

For those who are new readers, this is now a quarterly event hosted by Robyn G at Captivate Me .  More photographers are welcome to join in there!  I find it to be a great place to share and learn from others.

Earthsong Farm

You know that saying about friends who you may not see or hear from for ages but you know that no matter what comes in between those times you’re friends forever linked?  One of those friends is from the old days on Cape Cod – it’s Marsha’s place is where I stayed on the Cape on this most recent visit.  I didn’t get to see her again though because she was in Italy while I was there watering her her little sprouts. Even so, it was a trip down Memory Lane.  We had many a good time at her homestead, so aptly named “Earthsong Farm” in all its’ Spring splendor!  Thank you Marsh!  And welcome back! Next time, I’ll see you there!
