Small Stuff

Been a rough week for America. I know, I missed last Friday’s blog post. Been like this… you know, you’ve got to keep the music coming!

Well, I haven’t been flying anywhere.  Pretty happy right here making things.  Still working on that quilt piece but lots of other things happening on top of cleaning and re-organizing – getting all the winter clothes out and the rest put away. Been working up some small collages, 5X7s, 9X6s and starting some 10 inch pieces – mostly mixed media, although this next one is all fiber.

Walking In Circles

I may do this Friday blog every other week until I catch up.  I’m also trying to learn Lightroom, a really good Adobe photo editing program.  At the moment I have a free trial to see what I think of it.  But it takes me awhile to get these new things that the youngsters pick right up on so it just eats up my time like MS. Pacman once did! I can also only sit at the puter for so long!

So, before you go, you may want to chill for a minute and listen up…see you soon!

What A Blast!

The Melrose Arts Festival was a wonderful event all around!  I had so much fun – the best art in one place, incredible people and great music! It was the first time I’ve done a booth in many years and the first time with my textile art ever and the feedback I received was truly encouraging (ego boosting), not to mention the satisfaction of selling!  I’m so glad I got to meet other artists and  who live in my area and all the wonderful people of this community who came by my booth and chatted with me.I certainly hope to do this event again next year!

PS:  In my complete state of preoccupation preparing for this event, I forgot to post the FIRST FRIDAY blogpost!  I’m so sorry, but stand by for it.  I’ll post it tomorrow!

I’ve been trying to tie up all the loose ends for doing the booth at the Melrose Arts Festival at the end of the month, but meanwhile I finished a mixed media painting a started awhile ago.
